For Sevier County Utility District, BarberMcMurry designed a new multipurpose facility that can be used by the district or rented to the public. The building’s design includes large clerestory windows that extend to the roof, flooding the interiors with natural light. The front canopy is supported by exposed steel columns. The facility’s exterior is a mix of materials, including seam metal panels, fiber cement siding and brick accents — all chosen to reflect the Utility’s brand. The multipurpose facility houses large conference rooms, training room, fitness area, full monitor wall, catering kitchen and administrative offices and support spaces.
