The Joint Institute for Advanced Materials: LEED Silver

The University of Tennessee’s Joint Institute for Advanced Materials has been awarded LEED Silver by the U.S. Green Building Council and verified by the Green Building Certification Institute. JIAM achieved LEED Silver certification for implementing sustainable strategies and solutions aimed at attaining high performance in energy efficiency, water savings, material selection, and indoor environmental quality. By using less energy and water, LEED certified buildings save money; reduce greenhouse gas emissions; and contribute to a healthier environment for everyone.


BMa Wins Two AIA East Tennessee Honor Awards

Seven projects were recognized at the annual East Tennessee Chapter of the American Institute of Architects Design Awards Gala. BMa was privileged to be presented the only Honor awards for the evening.  The Joint Institute for Advanced Materials and Ole Smoky Distilleryboth received the top awards for 2017. This yearly event celebrates the best in architectural design produced by architects in East Tennessee. Additionally, BMa’s Kathryn Greer was acknowledged for becoming a licensed architect. We congratulate everyone for elevating design in East Tennessee.
