Natalie L. Haslam Music Center - LEED Silver

The Natalie L. Haslam Music Center at the University of Tennessee has been awarded LEED Silver by the U.S. Green Building Council and verified by the Green Building Certification Institute. 

The Music Center achieved LEED Silver certification for implementing sustainable strategies and solutions aimed at attaining high performance in energy efficiency, water savings, material selection, and indoor environmental quality. By using less energy and water, LEED certified buildings save money; reduce greenhouse gas emissions; and contribute to a healthier environment for everyone.

The Offices of BMa Recognized for Sustainability

The East Tennessee Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council held their 4th annual Green Light Awards to recognize and celebrate the achievements of leaders and volunteers who have advanced sustainability in the East Tennessee region. The offices and studio of BarberMcMurry Architects was awarded for incorporating various sustainable design features.

 The local chapter of the USGBC works to encourage buildings and communities which will regenerate and sustain the health and vitality of East Tennessee.
