Summit Corporate Office

For Summit Strategic Solutions and Summit Medical Group, BarberMcMurry designed a two-story office building to house the corporate headquarters for both groups.

The office building design is simple yet modern. The structure maximizes the efficiency of the office spaces inside while utilizing effective design strategies that worked within the client's construction budget. The building entry becomes an iconic element and the randomized window pattern gives the building an uncommon visual dynamism not typically found in suburban office buildings. The vertical exterior shading not only creates interesting shadow effects across the building elevations, it provides effective solar shading of the windows. This shading, along with energy-efficient building systems, are holistic and sustainable.

Summit Medical Group is the largest primary care group in East Tennessee, serving more than 260,000 patients each year. Summit Strategic Solutions provides managed services, value-based care solutions and other support to physician practices, including Summit Medical Group, as well as health insurance plans to self-insured employers.
