BarberMcMurry collaborated with Knoxville Spine Surgery to infill an existing space with a modern outpatient surgical facility, including waiting spaces, administrative areas, operating rooms, procedure rooms, pre- and post-procedure recovery areas, and sterilization spaces. The goal of the renovation was to create a cohesive, patient-centered environment while enhancing efficiency and functionality for staff.
In the waiting area, patient comfort and ease of navigation were prioritized with wood tones, accent lighting, and colors that assist wayfinding.
The operating and procedure rooms are state-of-the-art environments with sterilization areas that are carefully planned around a smooth workflow for processing sterile equipment.
Pre- and post-procedure recovery areas were designed with patient comfort and privacy in mind. Curtains and strategically placed partitions provide privacy while allowing staff clear visibility for patient monitoring.
The renovation enhances both the patient and staff experience by carefully balancing aesthetics and functionality. From the soothing palette and natural light in public-facing areas to the precise, efficient layouts in clinical spaces, the renovation creates a space that supports a commitment to exceptional care.
