AIA East Tennessee awards Natalie L. Haslam Music Center & Hicks Orthodontics

BMa was privileged to be recognized with several awards during the 2014 East Tennessee Chapter of the American Institute of Architects annual awards ceremony. The Natalie L. Haslam Music Center at the University of Tennessee received a Merit award. Hicks Orthodontics was recognized with several awards. An online vote open to the public selected Hicks for the People’s Choice Award. The attendees to the awards ceremony selected Hicks to receive the Chapter Choice Award. And a jury of architects selected Hicks to receive an Honor Award for design excellence. The annual awards program recognizes professional excellence manifested in design in conjunction with the client demanding the highest of architectural standards.


AIA Tennessee Recognizes BMa with Two Design Awards

At the 2014 American Institute of Architects state convention in Nashville, Tennessee, BMa took home two awards. The first was a Merit award for the Natalie L. Haslam Music Center at the University of Tennessee (a joint venture with Blankenship & Partners). The second was an Excellence award for the design and renovation of BMa's new studio located in downtown Knoxville. There were 14 awards in total this year, with seven going to firms in East Tennessee. The annual awards program honors built works of distinction designed by AIA Tennessee members. The program also brings to public attention outstanding examples of architecture.
