Congrats to Michaela Mary for earning her WELL AP

Michaela Mary, WELL AP, an architectural graduate at BarberMcMurry Architects, has earned the credential of WELL Accredited Professional.

Like LEED, WELL is a sustainable design credential and building standard. WELL is the world’s first building standard focused exclusively on human health and wellness in the built environment, marrying best practices in design and construction with evidence-based medical and scientific research on human health and wellbeing.

BarberMcMurry has ten WELL APs — more than any design firm in the greater Knoxville area — a credential purposely chosen as part of the firm’s commitment to common-sense sustainable design with real, positive impacts on everyday health and wellness.

Mary graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Architecture + Design in 2019, and from Pellissippi State Community College in 2016. She has experience in civic, small commercial and office design. During her time in school, she worked at the University’s FabLab, where she gained skills in digital fabrication and additive manufacturing. She is currently working toward licensure.
