Rocky Top Sports World

In Sevier County, BarberMcMurry designed the expansive, 80-acre Rocky Top Sports World complex as a sports tournament destination facility.

Featuring 7 outdoor turf fields, 10 hardwood courts, a full-service indoor/outdoor cafe, team rooms and private meeting rooms, the facility accommodates sports as varied as lacrosse, football, soccer, basketball, volleyball and martial arts. The building's main structure is an economical pre-engineered metal building, with custom architectural detailing that calls to mind the region's architectural vernacular, including stacked stone and exposed timbers. The facility attracts state, regional and national visitors for sports tournaments year-round, and has been voted the sixth (6th) best indoor sports venue in the U.S. by the Amateur Athletic Union.
