BarberMcMurry designed the campuses for the three major healthcare providers in East Tennessee, including this building, originally named the Fort Sanders Presbyterian Hospital, today known as Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center.
The building is an iconic mid-century modernist hospital located in the heart of the historic Fort Sanders neighborhood.
Finished in 1958, the hospital's clean lines and modern detailing are still evident, and BarberMcMurry continues to provide architectural and interior design services to the hospital today.
