Carson-Newman College – Ted Russell Hall

Building Area: 35,000 s.f.

Date of Completion: 2008

Type: New Construction

Location: Jefferson City, TN

Budget: $8,100,000

Challenge: Create a landmark school of business building on a historic campus to draw in more students.

Solution: Ted Russell Hall includes administrative offices for both the School of Business and a new program, the Center for Family Business Studies, as well as classrooms, a conference center to accommodate 500 participants, and the associated support space required for various functions.

The building’s design expands the traditional educational core of the college’s campus outside the boundaries of the historic Quadrangle, laying the groundwork for other campus additions.
