Date of Completion: 2000
Type: New Construction
Location: Oak Ridge, TN
Budget: $7,600,000
Challenge: Provide an outpatient surgery and diagnostic center.
Solution: Completed in 2000, the 55,650 s.f. Cheyenne Ambulatory Center includes a One Day Surgery Center (ASTC), the Oak Ridge Breast Center and a Diagnostic Center. In 2006, BMa was asked to provide design for a new Sleep Center located in the Ambulatory Center. The building includes three MRIs, C.T. scans and other radiographic equipment. The steel frame building is clad with pre-cast panels to match the existing hospital. Vertical reveals in the pre-cast create an interesting rhythm and distinctive appearance for the structure.
