Challenge: Renovate an exsiting 1920s BarberMcMurry gymnasium into a performing arts center with auditorium, rehearsal areas, and offices.

Solution: Seating 950 persons, the main auditorium space replaces the original gymnasium and was designed as a multi-purpose hall to accommodate functions ranging from speeches and lectures to dance and orchestral presentations. $1 million pipe organ is also integrated within the space.

All of the varied events are addressed acoustically with specialized curtain controls and ceiling treatments.In addition to the main performance space, there are rehearsal/recital halls for 280 and tiered classrooms seating 450 and 200 respectively. There are also spaces for dressing, support, and University administration.
