Challenge: Help shape and create a corporate identity through the design of a prototypical branch bank for a growing regional bank.

Solution: Drawing upon the regional, traditional building materials of East Tennessee and putting them together in a modern fashion, the design for this bank branch prototype sets itself apart for the standard pseudo-colonial architectural design expected of branch banks throughout the region. The architecture for this branch becomes immediately identifiable to a brand. Dramatic roof forms, glass, and material compositions draw the eye to important programmatic features. Using brick, stone, and copper panels lends a feeling of permanence and substance expected of banking, while the modern detailing places the cornerstone of this bank firmly in the 21st century, not the 18th.
